Cambodia Golf Country Club
Located just over 30 kilometers from Phnom Penh, Cambodia Golf and Country Club is easily accessible via Highway 4 and is worth the short drive. Established in May 1997, it was the first golf course to open in Cambodia. Designed by Seiichi Inoue, the par-72 course spans 7,077 yards across 120 acres, surrounded by sugar palm trees, evergreen plants, and native flora, earning it the local nickname “Sugar Palm Course.”
The course features a scenic setting with distant mountains and lush vegetation, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The front nine offers wide, flat fairways with plenty of bunkers and expansive greens, which can lead to more putts than expected. In contrast, the back nine presents a greater challenge with undulating terrain, smaller greens, and water hazards. The longer fairways and strategic bunkering require careful club selection and precision.
The French country-style clubhouse provides comprehensive amenities, including locker rooms, a pro shop, a café, and a restaurant, offering a comfortable spot to unwind after a round.
