Chiang Rai golf courses

This ideal climate, combined with Chiang Rai's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, makes it a prime destination for golf enthusiasts seeking a unique experience.
Santiburi Golf Club is the standout course in Chiang Rai, often hailed as one of Thailand's premier golf destinations. Designed by the acclaimed architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., Santiburi features a layout that consistently receives high praise. The course is known for its superb condition year-round and provides an exclusive experience, often with minimal crowds during the week. Golfers frequently commend it as one of the best courses they've played in Thailand. Despite its high quality, Santiburi offers great value for money with reasonable green fees.
Waterford Valley Golf Club, located about 40 minutes from Chiang Rai's city center in the Wiang Chiang Rung Hills, provides a more relaxed but still enjoyable golfing experience. While not as prestigious as Santiburi, Waterford Valley is notable for its scenic drive through the countryside and its elevated position, which offers stunning views. The course meanders through picturesque landscapes, giving golfers a pleasant and tranquil round amid nature.
