Preparing for Your Golf Trip to Indonesia

Non-golf partners are generally allowed on the golf course, but access can vary by course. They may be able to enjoy the clubhouse, restaurants, and sometimes designated areas like the tee-house or viewing spots. However, they may not be permitted to join golfers on the course itself unless they are playing a round. Some courses may charge a spectator fee for non-golfing visitors. Non-golfers will be expected to dress appropriately and essentially follow the same dress code as the golfers themselves. It’s best to check with our golf travel consultant on the specific golf course for their policies and any applicable fees.

Green fees in Thailand vary depending on the course and location. On average, you can expect to pay between $70 to $180 USD per round, with additional costs for caddies, carts, and rentals. Top courses and those in popular tourist areas may have higher fees.

Thailand has a tropical climate with a wet season (May to October) and a dry season (November to April). The dry season is generally the best time for golf, with cooler temperatures and less rain. Be prepared for occasional rain showers even during the dry season.

Thailand is rich in attractions, including Bangkok’s Grand Palace and vibrant markets, Chiang Mai’s temples and night bazaar, Phuket’s beautiful beaches, and the historical ruins of Ayutthaya. Other highlights include the stunning islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phi Phi, and the cultural heritage of Sukhothai.
