Thailand Golf Courses

Handpicked Just for You

Riverdale Golf Club was designed by local architect John Morrow who also designed Red Mountain in Phuket and played a big part in the design of Riverdale Golf Club which is sure to become one of the “must play” golf courses in Bangkok once it fully matures. It made our list of Best Golf Courses in Bangkok.

Rachakram Golf Club in Bangkok is one for the long hitters looking for great value. A bit further out than some of the other golf courses in Bangkok but well worth the effort. Lots of water here which comes into play on all but 3 or 4 of the holes. Night golf also on offer.

Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club is one of the closest courses to the centre of Bangkok and also one of the oldest and as a result features many large and mature trees. The course is very popular with locals due to its long history and easy access and can get very crowded at weekends.

Sea Pines Golf Course is the newest arrival on the Hua Hin golfing scene and the only course with holes that run right beside the beach. We highly recommend this course which is in great condition with excellent facilities.

Situated around 50 minutes north of Hua Hin you will come across one of the best kept secrets in the area, Sawang Resort and Golf Course. Opened in 1993, the Isao Katsumata design offers a fair test of golf with rolling fairways and tee options that allow all golfers to be challenged.

The Royal Hua Hin Golf Course has a distinguished history dating back to the early half of the 20th century making it the oldest golf course in Thailand. It’s not in great condition but still very playable.

The course wanders between the rocky outcrops and has been designed to mould with the natural terrain and is reminiscent of many of the older British courses.

Wangjuntr Golf in Pattaya has two memorably great courses, and a good option for golfers with the family in tow.

Treasure Hills Golf Club is a much improved and mature golf course about 60 minutes from Pattaya offering exceptional value for money with plenty of challenges for all golfers. Usually in excellent condition with some interesting holes.

Emerald Golf Club is one of the prettiest and perhaps underrated golf courses in the Pattaya area hidden away in the forest and mountains close to Rayong also offering some wonderful holes designed by two golfing greats. The course is in in the process of being sold so the upkeep is inconsistent but still makes for a very enjoyable day out.

One of the older courses in Chiang Mai set in a tree-lined valley with great views to the surrounding mountains. The course is quite short by modern-day standards but it’s a very enjoyable course for everyone.

While many golfers visiting Thailand head for Bangkok and the resorts of Pattaya and Phuket, there are some great golf courses to be discovered in the northern regions of the country. Chiang Mai is a great example and here you will find some splendid golf courses, including North Hill Golf Club.

Mae Jo Golf Resort & Spa in Chiang Mai is an unusual layout which winds its way through mature fruits trees with some excellent views from some of the elevated tees. Several banana-shaped holes with blind tee shots but very playable for golfers of all standards.

A popular resort course with at least one hole you won't forget in a hurry
The first course built in Phuket back in 1989 and conveniently located in the centre of the island amidst rolling hills, limestone cliffs and landscaped forests, the original 18-hole course at Phuket Country Club has aged well and remains a firm favourite, especially since the introduction of buggies. It’s short by modern standards, at just 6,484 yards from the back tees, which means even high handicappers can give a good account of themselves, but there’s still plenty to keep better players interested.

Mission Hills Phuket Golf Resort is the most scenic course in Phuket with many holes running beside the sea. A Jack Nicklaus design which can play very long depending on the prevailing wind. Greens are a little slow but course generally in good shape.

When you hear the name ‘Hula Hula’ in Krabi, Thailand, you may be forgiven for thinking it is some form of bar or nightclub. However, its full title is Hula Hula Golf Club and this is one of the top golf courses in Krabi.
