Garden City Golf Club

Garden City Golf Club, established in 2013, quickly became one of Phnom Penh's premier golf destinations. Located 15 kilometers northeast of the city, this par-72 course spans 240 acres and is managed by IMG, ensuring top-notch maintenance and service.

Designed by Major General Weerayudth Phetbuasak, known for courses like Suwan in Bangkok and Sea Pine in Hua Hin, Garden City Golf Club transforms former rice fields into a modern challenge. The course features rolling terrain, water hazards, and bunkers, creating a strategic test for golfers. The 7,000-yard layout demands precision due to its large greens and minimal fairway roll.

The signature hole is the par-4 6th, a 439-yard challenge with water running the length of the left side and in front of the green, making a par a notable achievement. The 15th hole, a par-3 with a double green, offers a choice of pin positions, each surrounded by bunkers and water, requiring careful club selection.

The 9th hole concludes the front nine with a long par-4 featuring an invisible lake along the right side of the fairway. Precision is key to reaching the long, narrow, and sloping green, demanding a high, soft-landing shot.

The modern clubhouse boasts excellent changing rooms, a decent restaurant, and a basic pro shop. Future developments include a driving range, hotel with spa, gym, and swimming pool. With limited quality options in Phnom Penh, securing tee times at Garden City Golf Club is highly recommended.
