Dago Heritage 1917 Golf Club
Founded in 1917, Dago Golf Course is one of Indonesia's oldest courses, offering a unique challenge for golfers of all levels. Nestled at about 1,000 meters above sea level, the course benefits from fresh mountain air and stunning views, contrasting with Indonesia’s typically hot and humid climate.
The 18-hole public course, which was expanded in 1994 by Chohei Miyazawa, blends historic charm with modern design. It features a par of 70 with only two par-5 holes. Dago Heritage is known for its scenic layout through mature pine forests, large elevation changes, and cleverly placed bunkers.
The course starts gently with a par-5 hole, showcasing its sloping fairways and challenging terrain. The par-4 6th hole requires a strategic tee shot to avoid a lake, leading to a tricky approach. The par-3 16th demands a precise tee shot to find a nearly hidden green, while the par-5 18th challenges players with a dogleg and a large tree guarding the elbow.
Dago Heritage offers excellent clubhouse facilities, including a restaurant and bar with a terrace overlooking the course, large locker rooms, a well-stocked pro shop, and a small practice area. It’s an intimate and memorable golfing experience in a picturesque mountain setting.
