Gunung Geulis Country Club’s West Course, located 45 minutes from Jakarta, offers a serene 36-hole golf experience spread across 450 hectares of mountain terrain. Positioned 450 meters above sea level, the course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Cikeas River.
The West Course, characterized by rolling fairways and lush greens, is mostly free of water hazards, featuring only three lakes and a meandering stream that can pose challenges. Notably difficult is the par 5 6th hole, which has a handicap index of 1. From the back tees, the narrow fairway is flanked by a ravine on the right, making the second shot particularly tricky and often requiring a cautious lay-up.
The course’s rolling fairways are framed by tall trees and shrubbery, with strategically placed pot bunkers adding to the challenge. One of the standout features is the par 3 3rd hole, which plays downhill from stepped teeing areas bordered by terraced beds and forest. The green is well-guarded by bunkers, making accuracy essential for a good score on this picturesque hole.
