Indah Puri Golf Resort

Established in 1993, Indah Puri Golf Resort on Batam Island, Indonesia, is just a 30-minute drive from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. Designed by Ronald Fream, this course is easily accessible from Singapore via regular ferries or convenient packages that include transfers.

The course opens with a challenging par-5 featuring a blind tee shot and a zigzagging fairway with well-placed bunkers. The second hole is an uphill par-4 with a large bunker guarding the tiger line and a narrow gap to the green. The 3rd is a downhill par-3 with sea views and excellent birdie potential. The 4th is a dogleg par-4 with a blind approach to a narrow green, while the 5th is a short, downhill par-3 from an elevated tee.

The 6th is a demanding par-4 running along the sea, with the green at the water’s edge. The 7th requires carrying a water hazard multiple times, making it tough for high handicappers. The 8th offers some relief if you avoid the right-side water hazard. The long par-5 9th features a tee shot over water and challenges with trees blocking the approach to the green.

On the back nine, you cross a road to start. The 10th is a dogleg par-4 with a large bunker guarding the tiger line. The 11th, a par-5, offers a choice between a narrow right fairway or a safer left route. The 12th has a blind tee shot with bunkers ready to catch wayward drives, while the 13th is a tricky uphill par-3.

The 14th, a slight dogleg par-5, features water and a large bunker guarding the green. The 15th is a short par-3, followed by an easy par-4. The 17th skirts a lake and requires an accurate tee shot, with big hitters having a chance for a birdie. The final hole is tough with water along the right and a tiered green.
