Padang Golf Sukajadi

Located in Batam City, Indonesia, Padang Golf Sukajadi is a must-play 18-hole championship course originally designed by Thomson, Wolveridge, and Perrett, and later remodeled by PT. Flora Tjipta Sarana. This semi-private club offers a par-72 layout measuring 6,340 meters, with various tee options accommodating all skill levels.

The course features flat terrain with strategically placed undulations and mounds, enhancing both aesthetics and strategy. Water hazards are prominent, and the effective drainage system ensures playability even after heavy rain.

The course begins with a challenging 376-meter par-4, requiring a precise drive to avoid a large water hazard on the left and a smaller pond on the right, with a large tree complicating the tee shot.

The 3rd hole, a par-5, is notable for its difficulty. Bunkers and out-of-bounds left protect a narrow fairway, and a water hazard flanks the green, making position crucial for the approach. Despite its length, it ranks as the second most challenging hole on the course.

The 5th hole, a short par-4, demands careful planning due to water left and a stream dividing the hole, making the approach to the well-protected green tricky.

The back nine features a demanding 384-meter par-4 that requires a long, accurate drive and a challenging approach over a stream to a small green. Hole 15, the hardest on the course at over 400 meters, requires a strategic decision to either go for the green or lay up before a large lake.
