Parahyangan Golf Course, located just 40 minutes from Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts. Bandung, known for its cool tropical climate and art deco charm, is easily accessible via flights to Husein Sastranegara Airport from Malaysia, Singapore, and other Indonesian cities.
Opened in 2018 and designed by Bob Moore of JMP Golf Design, Parahyangan Golf Course offers a dramatic setting among valleys and the mountainous landscape. The 18-hole, par-72 course stretches 7,298 yards from the back tees and features seven bridges, including some up to 70 meters long.
Water hazards are minimal on the front nine but become prominent on the back nine, with the 10th hole presenting a 425-yard par-four that requires a tee shot over water and an approach over a stream. The par-three 12th hole also involves a water carry, though it’s not overly challenging.
The course is relatively flat, focusing more on strategic shot placement than severe elevation changes. Holes 12 to 16 stand out for their layout and scenic beauty, integrating valleys, bays, and streams.
Parahyangan Golf Course boasts a modern clubhouse with locker rooms, a pro-shop, and a two-tier driving range. The on-site restaurant serves Javanese and Sudanese cuisine, complemented by a spa, sauna, and the nearby Mason Pine Hotel, which offers luxurious accommodations, a swimming pool, and a gym.
