The Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, originally opened in 1995, has become one of Asia’s premier golf destinations. A $35 million renovation in 2016 transformed the course, offering stunning views of metropolitan Singapore from most of its 18 holes. Known for its pristine condition year-round, the Tanjong Course features six tee positions on each hole, accommodating golfers of all skill levels.
One of the course’s standout features is its large bunkers, particularly evident on the par-4 1st hole, where a narrow fairway and a massive bunker complex challenge players right from the start. The 4th hole, a par-3, offers panoramic views of Singapore but demands accuracy due to significant bunkering around the green.
The par-5 5th hole introduces water hazards, with a lake running along the left side from tee to green, tempting confident golfers to go for the green in two. However, the 6th hole steals the show with a spectacular 20-meter-high waterfall near the tee area, visible from various points on the course.
The Tanjong Course’s excellence is further highlighted by its selection as the host of the 2020 HSBC Women’s World Championship.
