Alpine Golf Club in Chiang Mai is renowned for its stunning mountain views and challenging layout. Designed by Ron Garl, the course features undulating fairways, strategic water hazards, and cleverly placed bunkers.
The par-5 4th hole, one of the longest in Thailand, demands precision off the tee with trees and out-of-bounds on the left and a large bunker blocking the second shot. The approach is also tricky with a creek beyond the green.
The 7th hole, another long par-5, requires careful navigation of a stream running from tee to green. This hole can lead to anything from an eagle to a triple bogey, depending on your strategy and execution.
The 12th is a picturesque par-3 framed by mountains and guarded by two deep bunkers. The 15th is a signature par-3, where the green is surrounded by water, creating a visually intimidating challenge, though the green itself is larger than it appears from the tee.
