Aquella Golf & Country Club
Aquella Golf Resort and Country Club, located at Thai Muang Beach, 40 minutes north of Phuket Airport, is a recent redevelopment of the former Thai Muang Golf Club. This 177-hectare resort features a newly redesigned golf course by Australia’s Pacific Coast Design, with construction beginning in 2018 and the course scheduled to open in 2020.
The redesigned course includes some holes from the original layout but has been extensively rebuilt. A deep layer of sand has been added throughout to enhance drainage and ensure playability after heavy rain. The course traverses gently rolling terrain and occasionally ventures into Casuarina tree-lined areas near the beach, designed to be accessible for golfers of all skill levels.
The 11th hole, a 186-yard par-3, is the course's signature hole, offering stunning views of the Andaman Sea and the beach. The challenge varies depending on the tee used, providing different perspectives on each round.
The contemporary clubhouse features a restaurant with panoramic views of the golf course and the Andaman Sea, enhancing the overall experience at Aquella Golf Resort.
