Chiang Mai Inthanon Golf Resort, a recent addition to Chiang Mai’s golf scene, is set against the backdrop of Thailand's highest mountain. The course offers a mix of enjoyable and challenging holes suitable for various skill levels. While not perfectly manicured due to the owners’ commitment to minimal chemical use, the natural landscape and wildlife more than compensate for any imperfections.
Located about 40 minutes from downtown Chiang Mai, the course features mature trees, water hazards, and stunning mountain views. The front nine starts relatively easy but includes challenges like the 4th hole, a par-3 with a large bunker and water hazard, and the 7th, a demanding par-4 with a water carry and narrow green.
The back nine presents its own tests, such as the long par-5 11th with a bunker and water, and the scenic 18th with a blind tee shot and water-protected green. The course is in good condition, and the open-air clubhouse offers a great place to relax and enjoy the view over the mountains. On-site accommodation is available for those wishing to stay overnight.
