Crystal Bay Golf Club, located about 30 minutes from Pattaya, is a popular and relatively straightforward course set in gently rolling terrain. It offers ample scoring opportunities and is generally in good condition, though it can get crowded on weekends, making midweek play preferable. The course features palm trees lining many fairways, giving it a Hawaiian feel.
The 27-hole layout, divided into three nines, combines classic parkland and links-style holes. The course is short but requires careful play due to numerous water hazards and well-placed bunkers.
From the back tees, the par 3s are notably long, with the 5th hole stretching over 200 yards. The course includes two island greens: the 3rd, a par 4, and the 8th, a par 3 playing 165 yards from the back tees.
While the greens can suffer during extreme weather, they generally run true. The clubhouse, though a bit worn, does not detract from an enjoyable round in picturesque surroundings.
