Designed with Pete Dye’s trademark emphasis on strategic play, Khao Kheow presents challenges with its numerous water hazards, sand traps, and undulating fairways. The greens, though often true, are uneven with bumps and hollows, making putting a test of skill.
The standout hole is the signature par-3 17th, featuring an island green with a stunning mountain backdrop. The par-5 2nd hole starts from an elevated tee and requires careful navigation of bunkers and mounded hazards to reach the challenging green.
While the clubhouse offers impressive views and a good restaurant, locker facilities are lacking. However, the attentive staff and friendly caddies enhance the overall experience.
