The Imperial Lake View Resort Golf Club, set in the scenic foothills near Kaeng Krachan National Park, is one of Hua Hin's most picturesque courses. Originally featuring two 9-hole layouts, the Mountain A and Lake B courses, the club later added two more nines—a desert-style course and a Scottish links-inspired course, the latter being the easiest of the four.
The main A and B courses are divided by a lake, with streams running alongside many holes. Mature trees, challenging dog-legs, and occasional blind shots make these courses a test for golfers of all skill levels. Despite the challenges, some easier holes provide balance and a bit of relief.
The desert course is a standout, known for requiring careful management and considered one of the best 9-hole layouts in the area. The short par-4 4th hole, for example, tests your precision with a stream along the fairway and rocky outcrops that can easily snag your ball.
The clubhouse at Imperial Lake View is simple but comfortable, offering excellent changing facilities and great food. The practice facilities include a grass driving range and a short game area. For those looking to play multiple rounds, a 3-star hotel is available on-site, although its distance from town may make it less ideal for extended stays.
