Majestic Creek Country Club & Resort
Located about 20 km inland from Hua Hin, Majestic Creek Country Club is a beautifully renovated 27-hole course that now ranks among the best in the area. While some renovation work is still ongoing, the course offers a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
The course features water hazards on many tee shots, tree-lined fairways, and strategically placed bunkers that penalize wayward shots. Course A, known as the Creek Course, begins with a straightforward par-4, but quickly ramps up in difficulty with a deep ditch guarding the green on the 2nd hole and narrow landing areas on the 3rd. The par-3 4th has water along most of the hole, and the par-5 5th is a long dogleg left with water hazards before the green. The 9th hole is a sharp dogleg right, challenging golfers with water and bunkers along the way.
Course B, the Lake Course, opens with an intimidating tee shot over a lake, rewarding those who clear it with an easy approach. The 3rd hole is a picturesque par-3 with a large bunker guarding the green, while the 4th is a tough par-5 with bunkers protecting the landing area and green. The par-4 6th features water in play off the tee and a tempting approach to a multi-tiered green. The highlight of this nine is the 590-yard par-5 finishing hole, which demands accuracy to navigate the water hazards protecting the sloping green.
The newly laid greens at Majestic Creek are quick and challenging to hold, while the fairways are in excellent condition, providing good roll-out in dry conditions. Course C is currently closed for renovations.
The clubhouse has been extensively upgraded, offering a pro shop, equipment rental, and an open-air restaurant with a full menu. The practice facilities include putting greens, a chipping area, and a driving range, and shared buggies are allowed.
Given the significant improvements at Majestic Creek, it's gaining popularity. To secure a tee time, it’s advisable to book in advance, and discounted green fees can be arranged online.
