Mountain Shadow Golf Club, recently renovated, is an appealing Pattaya course with abundant water hazards. Originally designed by Ron Fream, it is set in a former mango plantation against lush hills. The course challenges golfers with tight fairways, undulating terrain, and fast, uneven greens.
Accuracy off the tee is crucial, as errant shots can leave you blocked by trees. The undulating fairways and demanding greens will test your game and likely result in several three-putts.
Notable holes include the 14th, a par-5 hugging a large lake, requiring precise play to avoid the water and manage the dogleg. The course features four island greens, each presenting a significant challenge and potentially costing you extra balls.
