Palm Hills Golf Club, one of Hua Hin's first international-standard courses, remains a popular choice despite its shorter length. Known for its fast and tricky greens, the course offers an excellent layout. The clubhouse features a great bar and restaurant, enhancing the overall experience.

Water shortages in Hua Hin impact Palm Hills more than other courses, but under normal conditions, the fairways are lush and flat, with well-placed water hazards adding a layer of challenge. While some may perceive a links-style feel, the surrounding tropical plants and trees suggest otherwise. The more undulating back nine offers scenic views of the Gulf of Thailand.

The course begins with a gentle downhill dogleg par 4, where a well-placed drive to the left provides a clear approach to the green. The 2nd hole, a par 5, features an intimidating tee shot with water hazards on both sides and a narrow approach to the green. The 3rd is a straightforward par 3, but the large bunker on the right can be tricky. The 4th and 5th holes present narrow landing areas and water hazards, requiring accuracy off the tee.

The back nine kicks off with some of the course's best holes, including the long uphill par-3 11th and the challenging dogleg par-5 12th, both requiring careful club selection and strategic play. The 14th is a difficult par 4 with water hazards and well-placed bunkers, while the par-3 15th and par-5 16th offer scoring opportunities if you avoid the trees.

Palm Hills is a well-maintained resort course, offering a more affordable option compared to its prestigious neighbors, making it a great choice for any golf holiday in Hua Hin.
