Phoenix Gold Golf Bangkok, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, is a 36-hole golf course set in picturesque countryside east of Bangkok. It features four distinct 9-hole courses—North, East, West, and South—each offering a unique challenge suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The lush hybrid Bermuda fairways and well-maintained, fast greens enhance the playability and enjoyment of the course. With minimal bunkers but strategically placed water hazards, accurate shot-making and smart course management are crucial.
The North and East courses, though shorter, present a tougher challenge with their doglegs, smaller greens, and numerous water hazards. The signature hole on the North course is the 2nd, a dogleg par-4 guarded by water on the right and bunkers on the left. The West and South courses offer a links-style challenge with adjacent nines, demanding precision off the tee and careful navigation of large bunkers and occasional water hazards. Greens on these courses are fast and true, with subtle breaks that require skillful putting.
The club features a Mediterranean-style clubhouse with a range of amenities, including a restaurant named "Hole-in-One," a sauna with a Jacuzzi, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a health club. The course's excellent drainage allows play even after heavy rain, and four sets of tees ensure a suitable challenge for all golfers.
