Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club, a premier addition to Thailand’s golf scene since 2017, is located in Ayutthaya Province, just over an hour north of Bangkok and 30 minutes from Don Muang International Airport. Designed by Schmidt-Curley Design Inc., this 18-hole, par-72 championship course stretches 7,052 yards and features numerous water hazards.
Water comes into play on every hole, though it is more strategic on certain holes like the 9th and 15th, and notably on the challenging par-3 14th with its island green. The course’s unique feature is its elevation changes, with a 7-meter difference between the highest and lowest points, adding a strategic layer to play.
The greens are large, undulating, and quick, demanding precise approach shots. The hard, fast fairways offer excellent bounce and roll, potentially affecting distance control.
The modern clubhouse includes locker rooms, a restaurant serving Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Western dishes, and a pro shop. With its putting and chipping greens, Royal Bang Pa-in provides a top-tier golfing experience and is a standout course in the Bangkok region.
