Royal Ratchaburi Golf Club, located off Highway 4 south of Hua Hin and Cha-Am, is a par-72, 18-hole course designed by Artanan Yomchinda and opened in 1988. Situated about an hour's drive from Kanchanaburi and 90 minutes from Hua Hin, it’s renowned as one of the most scenic courses in the Kanchanaburi region. The course features rolling hills, sloping greens, and views of the Burmese mountains, providing both beauty and challenge.
The layout includes undulating fairways and demanding greens that require precise putting due to their slopes and burrows. While the front nine offers wider fairways and better scoring opportunities, the back nine presents a tougher test. Short par-3 holes are tricky due to deep canyons, and water, bunkers, and trees add to the difficulty.
Facilities include a modest clubhouse, restaurant, and practice areas such as a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. Despite its basic amenities, the course itself is the main attraction. Beware of wild monkeys that roam near several holes, which might impact your game.
