Siam Country Club Bangkok, the fifth addition to the Siam Country Club family, is an 18-hole championship course stretching 7,250 yards. Designed by Toby Cobb, a renowned associate of Coore and Crenshaw, the course features Zoysia fairways and Ultra-Dwarf Bermuda greens, offering a unique golfing experience.
Unlike many Bangkok courses, Siam Country Club Bangkok’s fairways are gently rolling, with only four water hazards in play. The course is characterized by small, playable potted grass bunkers and large turtle-back greens ranging from 425 to 1,000 square meters. Precision in club selection and approach shots is essential due to the greens' size and the challenging pin placements.
The 18th hole is particularly memorable—a par-3 with a vast 1,000-square-meter green facing the clubhouse. It features a notable hazard: a deep, potted bunker humorously called the “Big Ass,” which can turn a missed shot into a significant challenge.
The course’s grand clubhouse, designed by the Office of Bangkok Architect and built by SMCC (Thailand), mirrors the quality of its sister course in Pattaya, known for hosting the Honda LPGA Thailand.
