Thai Country Club in Bangkok is one of Thailand's top golf courses, renowned for hosting events like the 1997 Asian Honda Classic, won by Tiger Woods. While the course itself may not be the most thrilling, it stands out for its impeccable service, with a highly efficient clubhouse, excellent dining, and some of the best-trained caddies in Thailand. Access is typically restricted to members, especially on weekends, but exclusive tee times can be booked through select channels.

The course begins with a gentle par-4, where avoiding the fairway bunker sets you up for an easy approach. The 2nd hole presents a challenging stretch of water and a large bunker; playing it safe is advised. The par-3 3rd hole features a narrow green, flanked by a bunker and a hollow. The 4th, the shortest par-5, tempts players to go directly for the green across the water, though laying up in three is often a wiser strategy.

The back nine includes a plaque commemorating Tiger Woods’ drive onto the green during the 1997 Honda Classic. This par-4 is a two-shot hole for most golfers, with water lurking to the right. The 15th is a particularly dangerous hole, with water in play off the tee and for the second shot, compounded by a sloping fairway and green.

The clubhouse offers luxurious amenities, including spa pools, saunas, steam rooms, and a grooming room for gentlemen. Valet parking, a well-stocked pro shop, and a superb dining room, managed by the Peninsula Group, complete the experience at Thai Country Club.
