The Pine Lodge and Golf is a charming boutique resort offering a unique golfing experience amid the local countryside. With 27 rooms, it provides a cozy retreat and is renowned for its value, especially for those willing to travel a bit further for affordable green fees.
Opened in 2005, the course is well-regarded for its budget-friendly rates and excellent caddy service, offering a wealth of local knowledge at a competitive price. Designed by V-Entertain, the course features generous fairways and greens bordered by large bunkers and decorative water hazards.
Despite the decorative nature of the water hazards, challenges do arise, such as on the par-4 3rd hole, which requires a precise drive and second shot around a large lake. The par-3s demand accurate carries over water, typical of many Thai courses.
At 6,917 yards, the course offers a balanced mix of long and short holes with various tee options to suit different skill levels. The final holes present a significant challenge, particularly the 17th, which requires a tough carry over water, and the 18th, which is heavily influenced by water hazards.
The clubhouse, though modest and somewhat old-fashioned, provides essential amenities and a good selection of food. The course's less crowded nature ensures a relaxed pace of play. Pine Lodge and Golf may not be a top-tier destination, but its value and tranquil setting make it a worthwhile choice for many golfers.
