Toscana Valley Country Club
Opened in 2009, Toscana Valley Golf Club is situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Khao Yai National Park, Thailand. Designed by American Bob McFarland, this 18-hole, par-72 course spans 7,087 yards and is renowned for its Italian theme, reflecting its ownership by Tuscany Ville Co. Ltd.
The course features a stunning landscape with limestone cliffs and man-made lakes. During the rainy season, a waterfall adds to the course's picturesque charm. Its fairways are challenging with steep drop-offs and several water carries, some exceeding 200 yards. Each of the 18 greens is undulating, with severe contours that can be difficult to read.
One of the notable holes is the par-4 12th, where an elevated green protected by a water hazard demands precise placement. Over-hitting can result in a watery penalty, and the sloping green adds further difficulty.
Toscana Valley Golf Club is well-maintained, and its views are enhanced by surrounding villas. The clubhouse offers traditional Italian dining, aligning with the course’s theme. Though challenging, the stunning location and excellent facilities make Toscana Valley a must-visit for golf enthusiasts. Note that the course is only open during weekdays.
