Hilltop Valley Golf Club, located 60 kilometers west of Hanoi, is a 27-hole golf course set within a stunning landscape of hills, valleys, and the Da River. Opened in 2019, this course, designed by the renowned IMG, has quickly become a standout in Vietnam’s growing golf scene.
The course's design takes full advantage of its dramatic setting, offering spectacular views and a challenging round of golf. Water plays a significant role throughout the course, starting right from the par-4 1st hole. Here, golfers must navigate a fairway guarded by bunkers on the left and water running the entire length, continuing behind the green. This sets the tone for the round, with water hazards remaining a constant challenge.
The par-3 2nd hole requires a precise tee shot over water to a green protected by two large bunkers. The 3rd hole, a par-5, demands strategic play to avoid water hazards that dominate the hole. The fairway is divided into sections, with the second section almost entirely surrounded by water, making each shot crucial to avoid trouble.
The opening three holes at Hilltop Valley Golf Club are some of the most thrilling and challenging in Vietnam, requiring golfers to be on top of their game from the very first tee shot. The course continues to test players with frequent changes in elevation, adding another layer of complexity to the round.
One of the standout holes is the par-3 13th, where golfers must play over a ravine to reach a green protected by water, offering both a visual and strategic challenge. For those looking to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, the back nine (holes 19 to 27) provides some of the best views of the surrounding landscape.
