Sam Tuyen Lam Golf Club
Sam Tuyen Lam Golf Resort, located about 15 kilometers from Dalat, is set in a scenic, forest-covered valley. The course offers a challenging experience with many elevation changes, bunkers, and water hazards, complemented by cool mountain air.
Notable holes on the front nine include the par-4 third, which features a dogleg, out-of-bounds on the left, and a bunker at the dogleg's apex. The approach shot is difficult with bunkers and a stream in front of the green. The par-4 seventh has a hazard on the left and a stream near the green, making a par a good score. The eighth hole offers a choice between a safer left fairway and a more challenging right fairway for an easier approach. The ninth hole provides stunning views from the elevated tee but requires careful play to avoid a water hazard and two deep bunkers.
The back nine starts with a dogleg left, where longer hitters might be tempted to cut off the corner but should beware of out-of-bounds and fairway bunkers. The eleventh is a short par-3 protected by a large bunker and a hazard behind. The twelfth is a challenging uphill par-4 with numerous bunkers and a two-tier green. The fourteenth is a downhill par-4 that is easier if the fairway is hit off the tee. The sixteenth is a short par-3 requiring a carry over water and a large bunker. The seventeenth is a par-5 with a stream crossing in front of the elevated green and a water hazard nearby. The resort features an excellent clubhouse with a driving range and practice areas, and various on-site accommodations are available.
