Sky Lake Golf Resort & Golf Club, Lakes Course

The Lake Course at Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, stretching 7,557 yards, is renowned as one of Vietnam's most challenging golf courses. Voted the "Most Challenging Golf Course" by the Vietnam Golf Association in 2012/2013, the course features diverse elevations and terrains, winding around the scenic Van Son Lake.

This 18-hole, links-style course to the west offers stunning views of lakes and mountains, providing a tough yet rewarding experience for golfers. The adjacent Sky Course, also 18 holes, is nestled within natural Vietnamese jungle and rolling hills, offering picturesque views of surrounding farmland. While the Lake Course is reserved for members, it provides a true championship challenge and is set to become one of the region's premier courses.

The round begins with a relatively straightforward par-4, requiring accuracy to avoid the fairway bunkers. The challenge ramps up on the second hole, a dog-leg with water on the left and bunkers on the right. The third hole, a long par-5, demands precision with a large bunker guarding the green and water along the left side. The fourth hole, a par-3 over 200 yards, tests your putting skills on a green sloping sharply from back to front. The fifth hole, a par-5, features water hazards and bunkers that make both the drive and approach shots challenging. The remaining holes on the front nine offer opportunities to gain strokes.

The back nine starts with a challenging 10th hole, requiring a precise drive over water to a narrow landing area protected by bunkers. The 11th is a driveable par-4, though the narrow entrance to the green is guarded by bunkers. The 12th is a long but manageable par-5, followed by the 13th, a par-3 with water along the right side and an island green surrounded by a large bunker. The 14th, considered the most difficult, has water on the right and a narrow landing area with bunkers guarding the green. The 15th is straightforward, with out-of-bounds on both sides but no bunkers. The 16th is a long par-3 with water lining the right side, leading to the 18th, a zigzag par-5 with well-placed bunkers and a tricky approach to a green with water on the left.
