Tam Dao Golf Resort, located about 90 minutes from Hanoi, is a top-tier IMG-designed golf course set within the stunning countryside of the National Park. Its location brings plenty of elevation changes as the course winds through foothills and around a large lake, creating a scenic and challenging experience.

The course features generous fairways and large, undulating greens, offering good scoring opportunities if you can navigate the many bunkers and water hazards. The opening par-5 hole is a great start, with an uphill challenge and a green protected by a tree and a creek. The par-4 5th hole is considered the most difficult, with a sharp dog-leg and the large lake in play for most of the way to the green. The par-3 8th hole offers a chance to win a TV with a hole-in-one, but at over 200 yards from the blue tees, it’s a tough challenge.

The back nine becomes more challenging, starting with the uphill par-3 12th hole, which has a narrow green protected by bunkers and run-off areas. The 13th hole offers great views and challenges long hitters with a large fairway bunker and a stream crossing. The 14th hole is picturesque but tough, with a green surrounded by bunkers on one side and water on the other. The 18th hole is a strong finisher, long and uphill with bunkers on both sides—parring this hole is a real achievement.
