MICHELIN's Second Vietnam Guide Revealed: 164 Top Restaurants

The MICHELIN Guide has officially unveiled its second edition for Vietnam, featuring an impressive list of 164 establishments across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. The 2024 guide highlights the vibrant and diverse culinary scene of these cities, showcasing both new and returning favorites.

This year's guide includes 7 one MICHELIN Star restaurants, with 2 new additions and 1 promotion from MICHELIN Selected. Notable newcomers are Akuna in Ho Chi Minh City, known for its innovative European cuisine with Vietnamese twists, and La Maison 1888 in Da Nang, offering a luxurious 5- or 7-course menu with high-quality ingredients from Vietnam, France, and Japan. The Royal Pavilion in Ho Chi Minh City also earned its first MICHELIN Star, celebrated for its Cantonese dim sum and a wide range of à la carte and set menus.

The guide also features 58 Bib Gourmand establishments, doubling the previous year’s count. These include 18 in Hanoi, 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, and 16 in Da Nang, reflecting the growing culinary landscape. Among these, 29 are new entries, with significant additions in Da Nang, which has enriched the guide with its unique local eateries that blend French, Chinese, and Southeast Asian influences.

A highlight of this year’s guide is the MICHELIN Green Star, awarded to Nen Danang, the first restaurant in Vietnam to receive this honor. Known for its sustainable practices and commitment to local ingredients, Nen Danang sets an example in promoting eco-friendly gastronomy and educating the younger generation about sustainability.

The MICHELIN Guide continues to underscore Vietnam's dynamic and evolving food scene, with renowned chefs and emerging talents shaping a promising culinary future.
